Missouri flooding 2013 kills child

Flooding in south-central Missouri has claimed life of a child aged between 4 and 6 years, local medias reported.

Body of the child was found near Mitchell Creek on the west side of Waynesville.

More than 50 houses are flooded in Waynesville, ABC News reported.

According to the National Weather Service, more than 7 inches of rainfall has been recorded at Fort Leonard Wood, near Waynesville in 12 hours.

The U.S. Army personnel from Fort Leonard Wood are on standby.
