4 children dead by tropical storm Rumbia in Philippines, China on alert

At least four children are confirmed dead by tropical storm Rumbia with three others reported missing in central Philippines.

Big wave overturned a boat and claimed lives of children aged between one month and eight years.

Meanwhile China government has issued a national early disaster warning asking local governments to prepare for tropical storm Rumbia.

The National Commission for Disaster Reduction and the Ministry of Civil Affairs issued the storm alert at 11 a.m.

Dozne of flights have been canceled at the Haikou Meilan International Airport.

According to the Guangdong railway bureau, train services on the Donghuan high-speed railway in coastal Hainan have also been suspended.

Recent flooding and landslides across China have already claimed lives of at least 14 people.

Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarter has expected tropical storm Rumbia to hit Guangdong province on Monday night or Tuesday.
