  • Cyclonic storms in Tripura, India
    -Cyclonic storms with lightning and rains have claimed lives of at least seven people in Tripura, India.
    -Landslide also buried a home at Simna in western Tripura killing a sixty-year-old grandmother and her 17-year-old-son grandson. At least 20 people were injured by lightning strikes. Click for detail report on Tripura storm.
  • Rain-triggered collapse in Pingjiang, China
    -At least three people died in a house collapse due to heavy rain in Hunan Province of China.
    -Tragedy occurred in Jiayi Township in Pingjiang County where woman, her four-year-old granddaughter and 11-year-old nephew buried in the house collapse. Click for detail report on China flood and video footage.

  • M 3.4 light earthquake in Southern Italy (@ 32 km depth) with epicenter located 22 km SW of Cosenza. People of Catanzaro will have also felt a weak shaking of MMI III.

  • M 4.5 moderate earthquake in Oaxaca, Mexico (@ 40 km depth) with epicenter located 6 km SW of Putla de Guerrero. It will have well felt by the people of Oaxaca de Juárez and Mexico City.

  • M 4.9 moderate earthquake in Iran (@ 26 km depth) with epicenter located 80km ESE of Minab, Iran. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Qeshm, Bandar 'Abbas and Khasab (Oman).

    -A thunderstorm caused basement flooding, trapped motorists in their cars in capital city of Cyprus Nicosia.

    -A lightning strike in Germany has injured at least 39 people with eight in serious condition.
