Lightning in Assam, India injures 19

Lightning in Assam's Chirang district has injured nineteen people, The Assam Tribune writes.

Lightning hit three different villages of Chirang named Donabari, Balajhar and Besarbari around 10 am. Injured people are having treatment at Bongaigaon Civil Hospital and Bengtol public health centre.

Lightning strikes have claimed lives and damaged several properties earlier too. Lightning protection systems help to minimize the risk.
