Death toll has risen to 23. At least 120 people are reported to be injured in Nangarhar and Kunar region of Afghanistan.

USGS estimates maximum shaking intensity of IV (light) in Sheywah, Goshtah, Sultanpur-e `Ulya, Jalalabad, Qarghah'i and Mehtar Lam.

Magnitude 5.7 earthquake was felt in Pakistan's capital Islamabad, India's New Delhi and Kabul, Afghanistan.

M 5.7 strong earthquake shakes Kabul, Afghanistan today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 11 km (6 miles) S of Mehtar Lam and 97 km from Kabul, Afghanistan. It was 40.5 miles deep.
