Light earthquake in Bhuj city of Kutch district

Magnitude 4.5 light earthquake in Gujarat today shook Bhuj city of Kutch district in India.  The earthquake had its epicenter in West Rapar located 27 kilometres away from Bhuj.
Today's earthquake is the fourth earthquake in Kutch this month with magnitude greater than 3.

There were no reports of casualties or any property damage.

2001 Bhuj (Gujarat) earthquake claimed more than 19,700 lives. Gujarat lies about 400 km from the plate boundary between the Indian Plate and the Eurasian Plate.
