  • Landslide in Leyte, Philippines
    -A landslide in geothermal power plant in Leyte, Philippines has killed five people. Landslide tragedy occured at the Upper Mahiao geothermal field in Leyte.
    -As of 15:00 UTC, at least seven people were still reported to be missing.

  • Mudslide in Ipoh, Malaysia
    -Heavy rainfall has caused huge mudslide in Taman Kledang Permai in Ipoh, Malaysia. Mudslide has also blocked Ipoh-Lumut highway.
    -Mudslide washed away at least three cars and has affected 250 residents in Taman Kledang Permai and Taman Arkid area.

  • M 41. light shallow earthquake in Central California (@ 8 km depth) with epicenter located 46 km SE from Telescope Peak. It will have well felt by the people of Searles Valley, Fort Irwin, Ridgecrest, China Lake Acres, Inyokern, Pahrump, California City, Boron, Sandy Valley, North Edwards and Las Vegas. 21:55 UTC (local time Friday, March 01, 2013 at 01:55 PM @ epicenter) 
  • M 6.7 strong earthquake in Kuril Islands (@ 32 km depth) with epicenter located 91 km SE of Ozernovskiy (Russia). Light shaking will have flt by the people of Ozernovskiy and Severo-Kuril'sk.

  • M 4.0 moderate shallow earthquake in Wyoming (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 22 km SW of Afton. It will have well felt by the people of Afton, Montpelier, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Logan, Brigham City, Chubbuck, Ammon, Blackfoot, Jackson and Smithfield. 07:50 UTC (local time Friday, March 01, 2013 at 12:50 AM @ epicenter)
  • M 5.5 moderate harmless sea quake in Mariana Islands Region (@ 162 km depth) with epicenter located 162 km NNW of Farallon de Pajaros. It will have faintly felt in the coastal area.

  • Sinkhole near Tampa, Florida
    -A sinkhole in Florida has swallowed a man. Sinkhole opened under the bedroom of a house near Tampa.

  • Wildfire in Jurupa Valley, California
    -Wildfire has burned 150 acres in and around Rancho Jurupa Regional Park in California.
    -As of 06:00 UTC, South California Wildfire is 40 % contained.
  • Thailand authorities have declared Narathiwat a natural disaster zone. Continuous rainfall from some days has flooded almost the entire area of Narathiwat. 
  • Philippines has received USD 25,000 donation from Sri Lanka to rebuild to the homes destroyed by the typhoon Bhopa. A state of national calamity was declared by the Philippine immediately.

Tibet/Nepal earthquake 2013 injures people

Haiti Earthquake 2021: At least 724 killed and 2,800 injured

August 15, 2021: A magnitude 7.2 earthquake in Haiti has claimed lives of at least 724 people and injured 2,800 people. The earthquake occurred at the  Tiburon Peninsula in the Caribbean nation of Haiti on the island of Hispaniola on August 14, 2021. Haiti earthquake has been categorized as the deadliest earthquake of 2021 which occurred near Petit-Trou-de-Nippes, approximately 150 kilometres west of the capital, Port-au-Prince. According to the United States Geological Survey(USGS), the earthquake occurred as a result of oblique-reverse faulting on the Enriquillo–Plantain Garden fault zone. The earthquake was also strongly felt in Jamaica. According to the Haitian Civil Protection Agency, the Haiti earthquake destroyed at least 860 homes and 700 others have been damaged. In addition, minor floods and landslides have been reported in affected areas in Haiti. The earthquake struck as Tropical Storm Grace is expected to reach Haiti between 16 and 17 August.
