• Sinkhole in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
  -Around 30 houses evacuated due to sinkhole in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
  -Emergency center is set up by American Red Cross at Pine Street Presbyterian Church, 234 South St. Harrisburg, PA.
  -Sinkholes caused loss of water, gas and sewer service to the area.
  -Boil water advisory was immediately issued for the residents of Harrisburg.
  -Sinkholes damage repair is expected to take at least a week.

Ongoing Major River Floods (Based on Satellite observation): Afghanistan (Amu Darya), Australia (Darling), Bolivia (Madre de Dios), Brazil (Tocantins), Chad (N Djamena), China (Mekong and Huang He), Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ubangi), Dominican Republic, Honduras, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq (Shatt al Arab and Tigris), Kenya (Tana), Philippines, Sudan (Blue Nile, White Nile), Syria (Euphrates), Tanzania.

• Flooding in central and northern Singapore
  -Following The national water agency PUB, flash floods hit Ang Mo Kio and Gambas Avenue today morning (Wednesday).
  -Flooding also occured in Gambas Avenue,  Thompson Walk and Mayflower Avenue of Singapore.

  -As of 12:00 UTC, TC Dumile was located 370 nm north of La Reunion.
  -Tropical storm Dumile is forecast to strike Reunion as a tropical cyclone on 3 January.
• Tropical Cyclone Freda
  -As of 12:00 UTC, TC Freda was located 225 nm northwest of Noumea, New Caledonia.
  -Tropical cyclone Freda is forecast to strike New Caledonia as a tropical storm on 3 January.

• National Disaster Management Office in Fiji has extended a state of natural disaster declared after Cyclone Evan for a week. The 15-day state of natural disaster declaration expired yesterday.
