M 5.0 moderate earthquake shakes Northern Italy today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 3 km SW Frassinoro. It was 3.0 miles deep.

Looking the epicenter and depth, tremor will have felt by the people of Bologna, Fiesole,  Reggio Emilia, Camaiore, Frassinoro, Florence, Genoa, Lucca, Massa, Milan, Parma, Pisa and Terricciola.

In May 2012, two major earthquakes occurred in Northern Italy, causing 26 deaths and widespread damage.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
