September 2, 2017: At least 14 people died in Mumbai after heavy rainfall triggered flooding on August 29, 2017. Mumbai recorded 468 mm of rainfall in twelve hours, the highest in a day in August since 1997, according to data from the India Meteorological Department.

August 12, 2017: Floods triggered by heavy rainfall for the past two days have claimed lives of nine people in Koshi zone of eastern Nepal. Two persons died in Bakraha and Nunsari Rivers in Morang district and rest others were swept away by the Budhi Khola at Gaurigaun in Sunsari district of Koshi zone.

July 20, 2017: Flash flood in Thathri village, Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir has claimed lives of at least six people. The flash flood damaged the Batote-Kishtwar National Highway washing away half a dozen houses. 

July 21, 2017: Magnitude 6.5 magnitude quake struck overnight between Bodrum and Greek islands killing at least two people on the island of Kos and injuring 200 others in Greek and Turkish coastal towns. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km below the seabed – off the south-western coastal city of Marmaris in Muğla province.
