A man died after the heavy storms hit across the UK and led to more than 50 flood warnings being issued in much of southern England and Scotland. The man died when a tree fell on his van on the Hillsborough Road near Lisburn in Co Antrim, The Guardian reported quoting the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

Tornado in county Roscommon of Ireland has caused extensive damage to cars and houses. More than 10,000 homes have been left without power with Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Clare as worst affected areas, The Irish Times reported. Met Éireann has issued status red severe wind weather warning to Leinster, Connacht and Munster. Storm has caused the suspension of all trains in and out of Heuston Station. Storm in Ireland has claimed life of a woman and injured eight others after trees fall on their cars because of storm winds. Incident happened at around 4 pm at Grange South as the woman was driving into Mullingar from the Ballymahon direction, RTÉ reported. Around 7,000 homes in Northern Ireland have lost power. Met Éireann had issued ‘status red’ weather warning, a severe weather warning for high winds and rain across many parts of the country. Similarly, the Met Office issued 43 flood warnings in Britain. Strong storm in Galway, Ireland has damaged buildings and knocked down several trees. Damages have been reported in several houses in the Clonfert and Banagher areas. An emergency situation has been declared after severe flooding in Ireland's Letterkenny General Hospital. Emergency was followed after a tributary of the River Swilley overflowed and caused flooding around 17:00 BST Friday. Seventy bed emergency unit has been opened for the evacuated people and crisis management team has been activated, RTE News reported. Heavy rains have even caused flash flooding in parts of Dublin , Wicklow and Westmeath. Heavy rains and thunderstorms have caused flooding in Dublin, Ireland leaving thousands of homes without power. Torrential rainfall in Dublin has also collapsed parts of the roof at the Mater Hospital. Similarly roof of Clery's department store in Dublin also fell down. Luckily there were no injuries. Dublin flood has affected several houses and businesses in Middleton in Co Cork. Ballincurra village is reported to be worst hit.
