INDIA: Flooding in Andhra Pradesh kills 34

 November 23, 2021: Massive flooding in Andhra Pradesh, India has claimed lives of 34 people and left 10 others missing.

The low pressure areas in the Bay of Bengal and cyclonic circulation in the Arabian Sea triggered heavy rainfall in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The flood water has also washed away part of Chennai-Kolkata National Highway 16.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted more rainfall in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala till November 26.
