M3.1 Freehold earthquake felt by northern half of New Jersey

September 9, 2020: A magnitude 3.1 earthquake have been felt by the northern half of New Jersey early Wednesday morning.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers about 1.5 miles outside of the town of Freehold.

The tremor was felt across northern New Jersey and into parts of New York and Pennsylvania as well.
