Flood in Fiji kills three

March 22, 2020: Flooding triggered by heavy rainfall has claimed lives of at least three people.

Hundreds of people were stranded in Nausori, Central Division, on the island of Viti Levu.

Damaging floods have been reported in Navua and capital Suva.

Heavy downpours also triggered mudslides at a quarry in Mau, Namosi.

The Fiji Meteorological Service has issued a flood warning for the Rakiraki town river.
