Flooding in Venice, Italy kills 2 — State of emergency declared

November 15, 2019: The Italian government has declared a state of emergency in Venice after recent flooding claimed lives of two people.

Two people died in the small island of Pellestrina. 

Italian Government has allocated 20 million euros to the city and the surrounding areas affected by the flooding to support the first post-emergency intervention.
