July 16, 2019: 5.7 magnitude earthquake rocks Bali - One injured

July 16, 2019: A magnitude of 5.7 earthquake struck south of Indonesia's Bali on Tuesday, injuring one people and causing damages to the structures.

"Some houses in Banyuwangi, an area on the eastern tip of Java, and Bali were damaged, as well as some temples in Bali," Bangkok Post reported quoting the National Disaster Mitigation Agency. Damages have been reported to the gate to Bali's Nusa Dua luxurious tourist area.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 92km with epicenter located 82.1 km ENE of Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. The earthquake occurred at 07:18 am local time.

The tremor was widely felt across Kuta, Tabanan, Ubud, Klungkung and other surrounding areas of Bali.

 There is no tsunami threat from this earthquake.
