Floods and landslides in Vietnam kill 72

October 13, 2017: At least 72 people have been killed in flood and landslide caused by typhoon Khanun.

According to the Vietnam's disaster agency, at least eighteen people died in Hoa Binh province by a landslide.

Khanun has weakened from a typhoon after passing south of Hong Kong.

According to the World Bank, natural disasters have killed more than 13,000 people and caused more than $6.4bn in property damage over the past 20 years in Vietnam.
