    -Tropical Cyclone Donna became Category 5 storm.
    -TC Donna had sustained winds of 215km/h gusting up to a ferocious 260km/h, making it the strongest May cyclone ever recorded in the Southern Hemisphere.

Natural Disaster News
  • The World Bank has approved 66.1 million euro ($72.2 million) loan to Serbia to help the country meet emergency and recovery needs in the wake of a natural disaster. The loan will provide the government with immediate access to financial resources to meet emergency and recovery needs once an emergency is declared, ensuring that budget resources are not diverted from ongoing programs, The World Bank mentioned in a press release issued on May 3, 2017.

October 16, 2019: One people died and dozens have been injured after a magnitude 6.3 earthquake rattled Philippines Wednesday night.
According to the ABS-CBN television network, a girl was hit by collapsed wall in a house and died in Datu Paglas town in Maguindanao province.

Update 09:18 A.M.
At least one people died and three others injured in China, the official Xinhua News Agency said.

Further 17 others from three tourist buses were trapped by quake-triggered landslides in Yunnan Province of China.

Update 07:25 A.M.

According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, another earthquake in the morning (not to be confused with midnight Tibet/Nepal earthquake) had magnitude of 5.9 in the border of southwest China's Yunnan and Sichuan provinces.
The quake was felt strongly in the county seat of Deqen, Xinhua reported.
Earthquake also triggered landslides, which blocked the traffic from Deqen to Benzilan in China.

Typhoon Hagibis causes purple sky in Japan

October 13, 2019:  The sky turned in deep purple colour in Japan surprising the locals, just before the arrival of Typhoon Hagibis.
The social medias have been flooded with the images of the bright purple and pink sky mentioning it as a "strange phenomenon.".
However the purple sky isn't uncommon. It has occurred several times in the U.S. following major hurricanes.
"The light was scattered around the moisture in the air, causing the magical purple color," CBS News reported quoting meteorologist Lauren Rautenkranz.
The typhoon touched down southwest of Tokyo on Saturday. An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 shook the area shortly before the same time as the typhoon was making landfall. The earthquake was felt across Tokyo and Chiba.
Typhoon Hagibis has brought heavy rain and strong winds to the region and is expected to be Japan's worst typhoon in six decades.
