  • Flash flooding in Indonesia
    -Flash flood claimed lives of 13  people in Indonesia's main Java Island.
    -Heavy rainfall triggered flooding in Magelang district of Central Java.

  • Magnitude 5.1 moderate earthquake in Iran (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 62 km N of Torbat-e Jām.

  • Magnitude 3.9 light earthquake in Greece (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 24 km N of Argostólion. It was well felt in Nidri and Preveza.

  • Magnitude 4.4 light earthquake in Libya (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 48 km W of Bardīyah. The tremor was well felt as far as Tobruk.

Recent Flash Floods
  • Flash flooding in Indonesia
    -Flash flood claimed lives of 13  people in Indonesia's main Java Island.

  • Mount Sakurajima volcano eruption in Japan
    -Mount Sakurajima volcano erupted at 3.30am local time, causing smoke to rise some 4,000 metres into the air.
    -According to the Kagoshima Local Meteorological Observatory, there were at least five eruptions from the volcano by noon on May 2.

Recent Tropical Cyclones
  • Cyclone Donna in Fiji
    -TD21F has developed into a category 1 Tropical Cyclone Donna  located about 600 km north-northeast of Port Villa moving east-southeast at 2 knots and expected to directly affect Vanuatu.
    -Fiji currently does not have a direct threat from this system.

NEPAL: Magnitude 6.0 strong earthquake in Khotang damages house
