Landslides in Pyuthan kill 8 including five members of a family

Landslides in Pyuthan district of Nepal have claimed lives of eight people including five members of a family.

A landslide triggered by incessant rainfall buried a house in Neta of Rajbara-3 claiming lives of five people.

Another landslide buried house in Banglibang of Puja VDC-3, killing three members of a single family, The Himalayan Times reported.

Earlier today, a landslide in Kerauja VDC-3 of Gorkha district killed three people and injured three others.

Landslide blocks Mahakali Highway

A landslide caused by incessant rains at Gokuleshwor-1 in Darchula district has blocked Mahakali Highway. The transportation system along the highway has been halted.
