Landslide in China's Fujian province kills 31, leaves 7 missing

At least 31 people have been confirmed dead with seven people still missing in a landslide in Taining County in east China's Fujian Province.

At least 35 people have been missing after landslide hit Fujian province of China Sunday morning, Xinhua News Agency reported.

The landslide disaster occurred at about 5 a.m. in Taining county burying the construction site of a hydropower station and its office building.

Heavy rainfall triggered landslide in the area. A rescue is underway.
