Magnitude 6.8 earthquake felt in Delhi today; Epicenter in Hindukush Region, Afghanistan

A tremor has been felt in New Delhi, the capital city of India at 03:58 pm Sunday afternoon on April 10, 2016.

According to India Meteorological Department, the earthquake of magnitude 6.8 had its epicenter in Hindukush region of Afghanistan.

The earthquake with a moderate intensity occurred at 190 km depth. 

Tremor was widely felt across Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. It was well felt in Kabul, Peshawar, Chandigarh and Chitral.

No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.
