People were panicked after a flyover collapsed in Indian central Kolkata's near the famous Ganesh Talkies with a loud boom. The eyewitnesses initially thought of a massive earthquake which shook the ground after the flyover collapsed Thursday afternoon.

A flyover under construction since 2009 collapsed in Kolkata on 31st March 2016, killing at least 21 people. Surprisingly, builder company in a statement mentioned it as an "act of God".

"It is nothing but God's act. This has not happened to us in 27 years," NDTV has written quoting K Panduranga Rao, a senior official of the Hyderabad-based IVRCL group.

Immediately, social medias were flooded protesting the building company who claimed it as "act of God".

Mohan Pednekar in his twitter account has written, "No Earthquake, no flood, but improper planning is act of god. How convenient!" Similarly, Chandra Chur Dutta has tweeted, "No earthquake or even any natural calamities can harm #Kolkata such a way sheer bad politics has done to my beautiful city!"
Abilash Praveen has mentioned, "Flyover tragedy an act of God - Come on... was there an earth quake? Or did God kick it down? Don't blame God for our mistakes "

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that a strong action will be taken for causing such big loss of human lives. Opposition parties has blamed the cause as the lack of  proper planning and rules.
