    -According to the National Weather Service, tornado hit rural western Alabama.
    -Tornado caused damage near Dancy, McMullen and Aliceville.
  • Snowstorm in Minnesota
    -Blizzard caused around 175 flights cancellation in and out of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
    -School have been canceled for kids in Rochester and Albert Lea.

Typhoon Kompasu kills 11 in Philippines

October 12, 2021: Typhoon Kompasu (called "Maring" in Philippines) has claimed lives of eleven people and left seven others missing in Philippines . More than 6,500 villagers have been evacuated from flood affected areas. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), fatalities have been reported from Benguet, Cagayan and Palawan province. The Philippines' National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) was on ALERT STATUS RED since the start of the natural disaster . According to the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD), Kompasu will make landfall in upper Vietnam on Wednesday or Thursday. Heavy rain is expected in Mukdahan, Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon and Bueng Kan provinces in Thailand.

Tibet/Nepal earthquake 2013 injures people
