    -At least a dozen people have been missing in Kachin State’s Hpakant jade mining region of Myanmar on Monday.

  • Mudslide at France's nuclear waste management agency
    -One person was killed on Tuesday in a mudslide at a laboratory of France's national nuclear waste management agency in the northeast of the country, the emergency services said.

October 1, 2020: More than 240 earthquakes have been recorded near Westmorland, California.A 4.9 magnitude earthquake is the latest and strongest earthquake to strike near Westmorland. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the magnitude 4.9 earthquake was located 4 km NE of Westmorland, California.The earthquake swarm began around 4 p.m., when a 3.0 magnitude temblor struck. Update 09:18 A.M.
At least one people died and three others injured in China, the official Xinhua News Agency said.

Further 17 others from three tourist buses were trapped by quake-triggered landslides in Yunnan Province of China.

Update 07:25 A.M.

According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, another earthquake in the morning (not to be confused with midnight Tibet/Nepal earthquake) had magnitude of 5.9 in the border of southwest China's Yunnan and Sichuan provinces.
The quake was felt strongly in the county seat of Deqen, Xinhua reported.
Earthquake also triggered landslides, which blocked the traffic from Deqen to Benzilan in China.
