  • People across New Jersey and parts of New York and Connecticut felt multiple tremors on Thursday afternoon which were actually sonic booms caused by the testing of a fighter jet. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), at least  nine sonic booms were recorded over the course of an hour and a half. However, no injuries or fatalities have been reported till now. July 31, 2022: Magnitude 6.0 strong earthquake has been recorded in Khotang district of eastern Nepal at 08:13 am (02:28 UTC) Sunday morning at a shallow depth of 10 km.
