Lightning strikes in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa have claimed lives of at least 32 people.
At least twenty three people died in seven districts of Andhra Pradesh and nine other killed in the eastern state of Orissa.
Fatalities are from Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur, Krishna, East Godavari, Anantapur and Srikakulam districts of Andhra Pradesh.
According to The Hindustan Times, the state government has announced Rs 4 lakh ex-gratia each for the families of those killed due to lightning.
