Flooding, landslides in Kaski and Myagdi districts of Nepal kill 33

Heavy flooding and landslides in Kaski and Myagdi districts of Nepal have claimed lives of at least 33 people on Thursday.

At least 26 persons died in the Kaski district. Fatalities are from Lumle,Bhadaure Tamagi and Dhikurpokhari village. Likewise, total seven people died in Mudi and Muna villages in Myagdi district.

A suspension bridge connecting Chapakot and Bhadaure VDCs has been swept by the swollen Harpan and Hadi Khola, ekantipur reported.

According to The Himalayan Times, more than 20 persons have been reported missing while more than 20 are injured in the incidents in the two districts of west Nepal.

Lumle is about 15 km from the start of the Annapurna Circuit, a hiking route around the world's 10th tallest mountain.
