Blanca is currently stationary, and little motion is expected for the next 48 hours, The U.S. National Hurricane Center said.

The storm’s maximum sustained wind early Tuesday was near 70 mph (110 kph).  Tropical Storm Blanca is forecast to be near major hurricane strength on Wednesday.

Swells generated by Blanca will begin affecting portions of the coast of southwestern Mexico during the next couple of days.

Meanwhile, Andres has already became the first hurricane of the 2015 Eastern North Pacific Hurricane Season. The swells generated by Hurricane Andres are affecting the west coast of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula.
