Nepal earthquake aftershock today May 26, 2015

A massive earthquake of magnitude 7.9 rattled Nepal on April 25, 2015. The earthquake, which struck at 11:56 am on Saturday, has already claimed lives of more than 8,000 people, injured thousands and made millions homeless.

Magnitude 5.0 aftershock was recorded in Rasuwa at 10:52 pm Tuesday night. The epicenter was located near Ramche.

Tremor was well felt in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Kavre, Sindhupalchowk, Dhading, Kathmandu valley and adjoining areas.

Altogether, five aftershocks of magnitude greater than four rattled Nepal on Tuesday.

Magnitude 4.3 aftershock has been recorded in Lalitpur/Kavre border region at 08:00 pm local time.

Update 07:00 pm

Two more aftershocks have been recorded in Dolakha. Magnitude 4.1 aftershock rattled Dolakha at 05:48 pm local time. The latest aftershock was recorded at 06:39 pm local time in Dolakha again. Altogether, Nepal Seismological Center has recorded three aftershocks greater than four with all of them having epicenter in Dolakha.

Slight tremor was even felt in Kathmandu valley.

An aftershock of magnitude 4.3 hit Dolakha at 02:11 pm, Nepal Seismological Center reported.

The epicenter was located near Tama Koshi River in Gaurishankar Conservation Area.

Yesterday, at least three aftershock hit Nepal.
