Gorkha earthquake generates four aftershocks, new quake recorded in Udayapur

Magnitude 4.0 earthquake hit Udayapur at 02:44 am Sunday morning, the Nepal Seismological Center reported.

This is the first new earthquake to shake Nepal other than the aftershocks of April 25, 2015 quake.

Meanwhile, Gorkha earthquake created four aftershocks today. Magnitude 4.2 earthquake shook Sindhupalchowk/Tibet border at 01:50 a.m. Again at 06:34 am, magnitude 4.4 earthquake rattled the same area. At 11:08 am, light earthquake with magnitude 4.0 shook Rasuwa. The latest 4.2 earthquake was recorded at 03:23 pm with epicenter in Kavre.

The death toll from the Gorkha earthquake has crossed 7,900. More than 160 aftershocks above four Richter scale have been recorded till now.
