Tornado destroys 34 houses in Soweto, South Africa

A tornado ripped through parts of Soweto, South Africa during a severe storm.

Three houses in Protea Glen have apparently destroyed and over 30 others have been also damaged, Eyewitness News mentioned.

Johannesburg emergency services teams will be going back to the area today.

“We’re going to be back on the scene to do a thorough analysis and also to check which houses have insurance and which are not insured”, Emergency Management's Nana Radebe said Eyewitness News.
