Typhoon Utor in China kills 3

Death toll from Typhoor Utor in Southern China has risen to three, Xinhua said. Five people are still reported to be missing.

Typhoon Utor in China has claimed lives of at least one people and left five others missing, Xinhua reported.

Typhoon Utor made landfall in a township in Yangxi county in the city of Yangjiang in western Guangdong province of China.

Dam of hydropower station in Gaozhou, Guangdong province of China also collapsed.

Several flights were cancelled in Hongkong and Stock exchange trading was also cancelled.

Typhoon Utor has already claimed lives of six people in Philippines before it made landfall in China.

Local farmers affected by Typhoon Utor in Hongkong are said to be get registered with the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) from tomorrow (August 16) to August 26 for assistance from an emergency relief fund.

Utor is the eleventh named storm and the second typhoon of the 2013 Pacific typhoon season.
