3 killed in Myanmar flooding, 33,500 sheltering in disaster relief camps

Myanmar flooding has claimed lives of at least three people and has send nearly 33,500 people in disaster relief camps.

Rain triggered natural calamities have affected Karen and Mon State of Myanmar.

The United Nations has delivered medical aid including water purification tablets to flood affected areas.

The Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge over the Moei River has been closed due to heavy rainfall, the Disaster Relief Department said.

Floods have also hit seven provinces in Thailand claiming lives of at least three people.
