Landslide in China 's Yunnan Province claims 6 lives

Landslide in China's Yunan Province has claimed lives of at least six people.

Landslide hit 8 a.m. Tuesday morning in Mohong, Fuyuan County and buried ten people. Four others injured people are having treatment at a local hspital.

Around 109.5 mm rainfall has been recorded in Mohong by early Tuesday.

Landslide occurred at the Xinxin Coal Mine engulfing ten workers, Xinhua reported.

Floods and landslides caused by torrential rain have claimed lives of at least 48 people and left 21 missing in last three days, emergency management official said.

Natural calamities caused by heavy rains have affected about 876,000 people and led the evacuation of 104,000 in Chongqing alone. Chongqing's local government has already allocated 10 million yuan in emergency relief funds.

China government has already issued a national early disaster warning asking local governments to prepare for tropical storm Rumbia.
