Fujian rainstorms claims 1: Flood control and drought relief headquarter

Recent rainstorm in Fujian province of China has claimed life of one people and injured another, the provincial flood control and drought relief headquarters said today.

Tropical storm Cimaron made landfall in Fujian Province of China at 8:30 p.m Thursday night and caused heavy rain and strong gales in Zhangzhou and Xiamen area.

Around 89,200 people have been moved to safety palces. Floods have caused direct economic losses of 1.55 billion yuan.

Meteorological station expects rainfall until Friday night.

According to  the Yangtze River Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, Yangtze River could see largest flood peak this year.
