    -
    At least four people have been rescued following flash floods in Melbourne, Australia.

  • M 3.8 light shallow earthquake in Greece (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 16 km SW of Kozáni. Weak shaking will have felt as far as Tirana (Albania).

  • M 3.4 light earthquake in California (@ 2 km depth) with epicenter located just 1 km NNE of The Geysers. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Clearlake, Healdsburg and Windsor.

  • M 4.8 moderate earthquake in Egypt (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 33km WNW of Tor. People of Sharm ash Shaykh, El Gouna and Al Ghardaqah will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.

  • M 4.0 light deep earthquake in Colombia (@ 116 km depth) with epicenter located 3 km ENE of San Pedro. It will have well felt by the people of Tulua, Buga and Andalucia.

    -Steam emission and crater glow from Mayon volcano in Philippines have been reported.

    Alert level for Mayon volcano has been raised to 1.
    -Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council has issued a public notice prohibiting the human activity in 6 km Permanent Danger Zone around the volcano.

It's important to know how we can prepare for natural disasters with proper emergency preparedness plan for less natural disasters damage. We have developed several natural disasters early warning system which provides warnings of natural disasters before they impact people and property. However, in spite of all the capabilities for advance warnings, we are still quite poor at preparing for these natural disasters. By 2015, on average over 375 million people per year are likely to be affected by natural disasters. This is over 50% more than have been affected in an average year during the last decades,  a 2009 Oxfam report has mentioned forecasting the natural disasters 2015 statistics . Hail storm in Chennai: 3rd time in 5 years

Hail storm hit Ayanavaram, Chennai between 1.30pm and 1.45pm Friday afternoon. Nungambakkam recorded 3.5cm of rain and Meenambakkam 1.1cm, India Meteorological Department said. Q: The tremors of earthquake were felt at intervals of 15 seconds. The first tremor was felt at 8:54:57 and last tremor was felt at 10:45:12. How many times were the tremors felt?
