Hundreds of people have been evacuated following mudslides and flooding in Norway.
Worst hit is Gudbrandsdal Valley north of Lillehammer. Around 250 people have been evacuated at Kvam. Several others also evacuated in Hedmark, Oppland, Buskerud, Eidsvoll, Telemark, Otta, Eidsvoll, Aurdal and Nesbyen.
Train services through Gudbrandsdalen and Østerdalen that connect Oslo and Trondheim have been closed, The Norwegian Railways (NSB) said.
Norway flooding this year is expected to be worst since 1995, Views and News from Norway reported quoting officials.
Major flood in south eastern Norway in 1995 cost about 1.8 billion NOK (200 mill USD).

Following Norwegian water resources and energy directorate, Norway has 24 hour flood forecasting service since 1989. Though the loss of lives due to floods in Norway is rare, but flood damage costs about 200 mill NOK every year.
