  -Lightning strikes in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh has claimed lives of at least four people.

• M 3.0 weak shallow earthquake in Ferndale, California (@ 23 km depth) with epicenter located 103 km W of Fortuna. People of Eureka, Arcata will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.21:41 UTC (local time 2013-05-08 13:41@ epicenter) 
• M 4.5 moderate earthquake in Asahi, Japan (@ 53 km depth) with epicenter located 11km E of Yokaichiba. It will have well felt by the people of Hasaki, Omigawa and Tokyo, Japan.
