  • Cyclone Mahasen in the Bay of Bengal
    -Eight killed and four others injured due to heavy rainfall caused by cyclone Mahasen in Andhra Pradesh, India.
    -Fatalities are from Guntur, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram of the coastal area of Andhra Pradesh.

  • Tornado in Hungary-A rare tornado in Hungary has injured at least two persons.
    -The north-eastern regions of Hungary bordering on Romania is reported to be hadest hit by the tornado.

  • M 4.6 moderate earthquake in Japan (@ 29 km depth) with epicenter located 13km E of Daigo. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Takahagi, Kitaibaraki, Hitachi and Tokyo.

  • M 4.9 moderate earthquake in Peru (@ 56 km depth) with epicenter located 71km SSW of Pacasmayo. People of Paijan, San Pedro de Lloc and Santiago de Cao will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.

  • M 4.0 light shallow earthquake in Pyreness (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 3 km NW of Lourdes. Weak shaking will have felt as far as Tarbes, France.

  • M 3.2 weak shallow earthquake in Southern Italy (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 62 km SW of Metaponto. Weak shaking will have felt as far as Potenza.

  • Flooding in Khost, Afghanistan
    -
    Recent flooding in southeast Khost province of Afghanistan has claimed lives of two people.
    -Following the Afghanistan Natural Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA), flooding claimed lives of a 10 years old girl and an elder man.

    -Heavy storm has caused flooding in Fuvahmulah Islands of Maldives.

    The Cyclonic Storm (MAHASEN) over Southeast Bay is centered at about 430 miles southwest of Coco-Island, 570 miles southwest of Pathein, Myanmar and 380 miles southeast of Chennai, India.

Liechtenstein earthquake shakes Switzerland

Update 14:15 UTC Swansea City’s preparations for their crucial Europa League clash in Switzerland has been disrupted due to the earthquake, Wales Online reported. M 4.0 light shallow earthquake shakes Liechtenstein today, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported. According to the EMSC, the quake's epicenter was located just 1 km SW of Balzers (Liechtenstein) and 4 km E of Sargans (Switzerland). It was 1 km deep. Tremor was felt across Liechtenstein and parts of Switzerland. No damage or injuries have been reported from earthquake in Liechtenstein. Earthquakes in Liechtenstein are rare.
