A thunderstorm caused basement flooding, trapped motorists in their cars in capital city of Cyprus Nicosia, Cyprus based Cyprus Mail reports.
Hailstorm and street flooding were also reported in Strovolos, Dasoupolis and Lakatamia.
Following Cyprus Fire Department, most of the calls were about household and basement flooding.
No injuries were reported. Flood damage report is yet to come.
Cyprus Meteorological Service expects more rainfall and flash flooding in coming days as a low-pressure system is currently over the Islands.
