CA earthquake today 2013

Update 06:30 UTC
-Tremors were felt as far away as the San Francisco Bay area.
-Dozens of aftershocks followed ranging from 2.6 to 3.5 magnitude.
-This is the largest earthquake to hit California since 2008. Earlier magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Southern California in July 2008.
-Follow Pacific Gas & Electric, about 660 customers were without power on the southwestern edge of Lake Almanor.
-Earthquake caused moderate damage. Earthquake also damaged a water system in Plumas County affecting around 300 people, Huffington Post reported.
-Northern California Seismic Network (NCSN) expects 36 %  chance of strong (M 5 +) and possibly damaging aftershock in the next 7 days.

M 5.7 strong earthquake shakes California today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 11km (7mi) WNW of Greenville and 43km (27mi) SW of Susanville. It was 1 km deep.

Effie King from Woodland, CA:  I was in my car waiting for the gate of the appartments to open when my car started rocking from side to side and then stopped when I started driving through the gate.
Robin from Suisun City, CA: I was sitting at my computer when I felt like I was dizzy and moving side to side. I though I was imagining it but then I heard noises across the room. The cabinet doors rattled a little bit and the water in the cooler was moving.
Loretta from Reno, CA: Sitting on the couch and felt like a swaying back and forth and noted the light fixture swinging back and forth slightly.
Margaret Doolittle from Paradise, California: I was sitting in my chair when it started rocking.I thought the dog was behind my chair but there was nothing there!!

  2. James from Woodland Hills, CA: I felt the tremor this morning, i was sitting in my seat at work. Lasted maybe 1-2 seconds.
