  • Landslide in Uttarakhand, India
    -Landslide in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand has killed 10 pilgrims.
    -A taxi was hit by a landslide along Dehradun-Yamnotri highway which fell into the Yamuna river.

Recent Earthquakes 
  • M 5.1 moderate earthquake in near the East Coast of Honshu, Japan (@ 37 km depth) with epicenter located 22 km E of Kamaishi. People of Morioka, Otsuchi, Yamada and Miyako.
    21:32 UTC (local time Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 06:32 AM @ epicenter) 
  • M 4.4 light shallow earthquake in Panama (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter close to David area. It will have well felt by the people of Chiriqui, Boquete and David.
    13:41 UTC (local time 08:41; 2013/3/12 @ epicenter)   
  • M 4.6 moderate deep earthquake in Luzon, Philippines (@ 110 km depth) with epicenter located 11 km WNW of Looc. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Bacoor, Batangas, Manila and Muntinlupa.

  • Flash flood in Mbale, Uganda
    -Flash flood in Mbale district of Uganda has injured
    12 people. Injured people are having treatment at Tobin health Centre.
    -The storm has damaged the building of Munira school, Good Samaritan primary school and Namabasa Secondary School. In Doko Nsambya, one mosque, two churches and one health Centre have been destroyed.
    -Floods in Uganda has displaced 1300 plus people.

  • Tropical Cyclone Sandra
    -As of 02:00 UTC, TC Sandra was located 250 nm west of Noumea, New Caledonia.


Natural Disaster News
  • A small avalanche has occurred on Mount Juneau in Southeast Alaska. However no injuries or damages has been reported.
  • Sixteen districts in Chiang Mai, Thailand have been declared drought disaster zones.
