Nepal's National Seismological Center has recorded two light tremors with epicenters located in Lamjung and Sindhupalchowk districts. The first tremor was of magnitude 4.3 recorded at 02:44 pm Thursday afternoon with epicenter near Ghale Gaun. Ghalegaun is a popular home stay based tourism destination.

Bhotekoshi River sweeps away 21 houses of Tatopani area

Flooding in Bhotekoshi River has swept away at least 21 houses of Tatopani area in Sindhupalchowk district along Nepal-China border on Tuesday night. It is believed to be the biggest flood in the Bhotekoshi River in 35 years. However, no human casualties have been recorded as of Wednesday evening.

Earthquake in Ulsan, South Korea today measures 5.0

A 5.0-magnitude earthquake has been recorded today in South Korea with epicenter located 52 km off the southeastern port city of Ulsan at 8:33 p.m, Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) reported. Tremor was well felt in Hokō, Pusan, Taegu and Waegwan area of South Korea. An apartment in Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province, was evacuated due to the earthquake, The Korea Times reported. The Ministry of Public Safety and Security confirmed no causalities or damage from earthquake in Ulsan, South Korea today.

Landslide in Gorkha kills 3, injures three others

A landslide in Kerauja VDC-3 of Gorkha district of Nepal has claimed lives of three people and injured three others. The injured people are having treatment at a local health post in Gorkha. The landslide disaster occurred during a reconstruction of road damaged by 2015 Gorkha earthquake , The Himalayan Times reported. Heavy rainfall has caused rapid increment in water level in Jhimruk River with possible threat of its outburst.

Flash flood in Pakistan's KPK kills 43, injures 40

Flash flood in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province of Pakistan has claimed lives of at least 43 people including eight security personnel on Sunday. More than 40 people have been injured and scores of others have been missing, Xinhua News Agency reported quoting the local media and officials.
