Abbottabad landslide kills 4

Punjab's Chenab River floods 170 villages

Around 170 villages have been flooded along Larkana Aqil Agani Loop embankment in Punjab, local medias reported. The water flow at Head Panjnad in river Chenab was recorded at 3,00,000 cusecs, Flood Control Centre said. According to the disaster management officials, Pakistan floods and heavy monsoon rains have claimed lives of 178 people and affected 1.5 million in the last three weeks. Lahore flood kills 8, injures 6

Landslides and flooding caused by torrential rains have claimed lives of at least eight people and injured six, Pakistan based The Nation reported. Injured people are having treatment at District Headquarters hospital (DHQ). Landslide buried a house in Sangpura at Swala Showk. Four persons were buried under debris. Rainfall also collapsed roof of a house in the area of Karak at Bannu. Flash flooding have been reported in Mughalpura, aji Camp, Empress Road and Qaddhafi Stadium. Flood emergency was declared in June 2013. According to the emergency management officials, Lahore flood claimed at least four lives. Flooding is the most devastating natural calamities in Pakistan . 8 killed as boat capsizes in Pakistan floodwater

At least eight people including two children have drowned as boat capsizes in floodwater in Pakistan, local news reported. Two other people managed to swim to safety. Boat carrying ten people was on a fishing trip. Incident took place at Ebrahim Shah village in the Tando Allah Yar town in Sindh province of Pakistan. Peshawar flood 2013 prompts emergency

Emergency has been declared in Hayatabad and Regi areas of Peshawar after flooding. Flash flooding in Bagh and Chitral region of Pakistan have claimed lives of at least four people and left two missing. Flash floods triggered by a heavy rainfall have washed away about 45 houses in Chitral. Flood damage has been reported from around 150 houses. Flood water has also washed away a bridge between Chitral and Boni. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to local officials in providing disaster relief to the flood-hit people in Chitral. Flash flooding in Bagh and Chitral region of Pakistan have claimed lives of at least four people and left two missing. Flash floods washed away a car in Bagh district in Azad Kashmir claiming lives of three people while another person was found dead in nearby village, Dunya News reported. At least two people are reported missing in flood waters in Hajeera near Rawlakot. Flash floods triggered by a heavy rainfall have washed away about 45 houses in Chitral. Flood damage has been reported from around 150 houses. Flood water has also washed away a bridge between Chitral and Boni. Recent floods have affected people in Bagh, Rawlakot, Chitral and Sibbi region of Pakistan. K2 Avalanche: 2 New Zealand climbers missing

A father and son from New Zealand are reported to be missing in an avalanche on K2, the second highest mountain in the world. K2 avalanche damaged Camp 3 and left both men missing, Nepalese Sherpas said. They were waiting at Camp 3 for the weather to clear. K2 is the second-highest mountain on Earth after Mount Everest located on the border between Pakistan and China. Landslide in Hangu, Pakistan has claimed lives of two children and injured one another. Landslide hit three children while they were playing near the rock of the soil in Darban. Punjab flood claims 3, injures 9

Flood in Punjab, Pakistan caused after heavy rainfall has claimed lives of at least three people and injured nine others. Punjab flood claimed two women in Pasrur village and a child in Shakargarh’s Tola village. At least three people were injured due to house collapse in Kot Abdul Malik city of Lahore and six others were injured in Tola village. The Punjab flood forecasting division has warned of very high flood in Jhelum river at Mangla and Chenab at Marala today. The Met office has recorded the heaviest rain in Islamabad over the past 24 hours. About 217mm of rainfall has been recorded in Saidpur, Dawn Media reported. Rain triggers flooding in Lahore, Pakistan

Heavy rainfall has caused flooding in Lahore, Pakistan. In other hand, rain in Lahore has also brought some relief for people from hot weather. People were seen enjoying at public parks and restaurants. Meteorological department expects hot and humid weather in most parts of the country in next 24 hours. Storm in Karak, Pakistan injures 25

Heavy storm in Karak, Pakistan has injured twenty five people including twelve women. Heavy rainstorm hit Tor Dhand, Ambeeri Kalan, Chokara and other surrounding regions, The Express Tribune reported. Storm also disrupted communication and power line with hospitals declaring emergencies. Flash flood claims 6 in Khyber Agency, Pakistan

Flash flood has claimed lives of at least six people including three children in Speen Qabr in Bara Tehsil of Khyber Agency, Dunya News Network reported. Flood water washed away a pickup crossing a nulla carrying 3 women and 3 children. Several motor boats have been send to the flood affected areas of Nowshera and Peshawar, a Disaster Management official said. At least fifteen camps have been set up in different schools for the displaced people. Kabul River at Nowshera is in peak, Flood Cell Peshawar has added. At least four people have died in roof collapse due to heavy raining in Lahore, Pakistan. Roof collapse occurred at Kamahan road in the area of Niazi Chowk where three members of same family lost their lives. Separate rain-related incident killed another. Flood emergency has been declared in the district by emergency management officials. Three others are having  treatment at General Hospital. Storms in KP, Pakistan claim 10

Huge storm and heavy rainfall have claimed lives of at least 10 people and injured more than 40 others in  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) region, Pakistan Today reported. Storms collapsed walls and roofs of various houses. Around nine children are reported to be seriously injured in the tragedy. Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more dust storm and rainfall in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northeast Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan in next 24 hours. Lightning strike in Pakistan injures 12 child cricketers

Lightning strike in cricket playground in Warishah area in Upper Dir, Pakistan has injured at least 12 children, The News Pakistan reports. Lightning struck while the child cricketers were playing cricket. Injured children are having treatment in District Headquarters Hospital in Timergara. Hailstorms hit Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Pakistan

Heavy rains with hailstorms have hit Islamabad and Rawalpindi area of Pakistan. Intense rainfall and flooding also caused huge traffic jam along Benazir Bhutto Road, Airport Road, Jhelum Road, Mall Road, Peshawar Road, Abottabad and Rawal Road. Residents of Soan, Al-Mumtaz Colony, Dheri, Adiala Road, Gulistan Colony and Kalma Chowk are without electricity, Pakistan news mentions. Soldiers struck by lightning in Pakistan dies

Three soldiers have died after struck by lightning Saturday afternoon at Upper Orakzi agency in Pakistan. Lightning struck around 11:30 a.m. injured five soldiers. An avalanche in Chum Jabba village in Torghar district of Pakistan has claimed three lives. An avalanche disaster in Chum Jabba village in Torghar district of Pakistan has claimed three lives of the same family. Heavy rainfall caused avalanche which killed a woman and two girls. Avalanche buried the house of Shamsur Rehman, killing his two daughters and a daughter-in-law.
