October 18, 2019: Potential Tropical Cyclone 16 is likely to form in the Gulf of Mexico late Thursday or early Friday bringing heavy rainfall and coastal flooding, the National Hurricane Center said. Tropical Cyclone 16 is currently over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. However, the tropical storm watches and warnings have been issued for parts of the Gulf Coast, The Weather Channel reported. A tropical storm warning has been issued for parts of the northern Gulf Coast from the Mississippi/Alabama border to the Ochlockonee River, Florida, and from Grand Isle, Louisiana, to the mouth of the Pearl River.
