Flooding in Uganda kills 6, displaced around 5,000

May 4, 2020: At least six people have been died and around 5,000 have been displaced as intense rains continue to flood parts of Uganda.

Severe flooding has affected parts of the Isingiro District, including the sub-counties of Kabuyanda, Mwizi, and Birere from last week.

A section of tarmac road was also washed away by floods in Isingiro, Southern Uganda following torrential rains.
