Tourists panic as earthquake of 5.5 magnitude rocks Bali, Indonesia

March 22, 2016: Magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck about 10 kilometers northeast of Denpasar, the capital city of the Indonesian province of Bali today.

The earthquake occurred 7:00 am at a depth of 118 kilometers. Tourists fled in panic from holiday resorts in the south of the island.

According to Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of National disaster agency, the quake was felt strongly in the capital Denpasar for five seconds.
