State of calamity declared as floods kill 6 in Davao, Philippines

January 25, 2017: Flooding triggered by heavy downpour has claimed lives of six people in Davao region of Philippines. 

Kapalong, Asuncion, Braulio E. Dujali, Carmen, and New Corella municipalities have been placed under state of calamity.

According to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) of Compostela Valley, floods have affected a total of 2,219 families.
