Earthquake swarm in McAdam, New Brunswick — 83 tremors in last 30 days

A swarm of eighty three small earthquakes have rattled the McAdam village located in the southwestern corner of York County, New Brunswick, Canada in last 30 days.

According to Natural Resources Canada, last earthquake in McAdam was on March 2, 2016. Others 82 earthquakes were recorded in February.

Around 34% of total recorded earthquakes have been felt by the people. The epicenters of all these quakes were located with 1-2 km from McAdam, NB.

The highest was magnitude 3.3 earthquake with epicenter located 4 km W from McAdam, NB on February 9, 2016.

Apart from McAdam village, tremors have also been recorded in Saint Andrews, Plaster Rock, and Edmundston.

No major damage or injuries have been reported.
